    Genuine feedback isnt shared. Although I adore my ring, Ive faced some issues to share. The diamonds shine magnificently, and the ring itself is stunning. However, when I paired it with my engagement ring, I noticed it was scratching and denting the prongs. While its beautiful, its not worth damaging my engagement ring. James Allen suggests buying a gold band to create space between the two rings, resulting in unexpected additional expenses. Im writing this review to help others consider these factors before purchasing.

    I placed an order for two wedding rings from James Allen, both with nearly identical inscriptions – our names followed by the wedding date. However, upon receiving the rings, one had the correct inscription, while the other only had our names (wrong inscription). Dealing with customer support and arranging the return for correction turned out to be a time-consuming and draining process. This added stress is not something we anticipated during wedding planning. Furthermore, the extended wait time for the fix might impact our wedding timeline.     Let me clarify that the ring itself from James Allen was undeniably beautiful. A simple yet exquisite piece, featuring a single 0.8-carat emerald set on a gracefully twisted band, devoid of any additional diamonds or embellishments. The craftsmanship of the band was exceptional, fulfilling every aspect I envisioned for an engagement ring – a vision that was embraced when she joyfully said yes.

    However, Im led to award a three-star rating instead of the full five, and heres why. The rings delayed arrival tainted an otherwise splendid experience. While residing in Hawaii, I understand the challenges of expedited shipping to the islands. My anticipation for the rings arrival was heightened as I planned to propose before an upcoming trip. To accommodate potential delays, I ordered with a weeks buffer before our departure, deeming it ample time for any unforeseen complications. Yet, the delivery was postponed, and my proposal plans felt the impact.

    In essence, I wish to convey a crucial piece of advice: When residing in remote areas or places that might pose logistical challenges, dont place your bets on “one-day” delivery. While my engagement story ultimately had a happy ending, the rings belated arrival instilled the awareness that overnight shipping, especially to remote locales, isnt a foolproof strategy. Despite the slight hiccup in timing, the rings allure and the special moment it marked supersede this issue.

    I requested a refund for a ring I bought. When I asked the customer service staff member about the refund timeline, the first one advised me it was gonna take 3-5 business days for the package to be returned, another 3-5 days for it to be inspected and another 3-5 days to issue the refund. But clearly they do not know what they are doing. The package was held by the customs and it took 16 days for it to be returned to their new York warehouse since the day I requested a return. And now when I ask the timeline again, I was told it was gonna take 10-15 business days for it to be inspected. How did they train their customer service staff?

    My husband and I purchased my wedding band from them in December 2022. James Allen sent me what was clearly another customers damaged ring, with a horribly done repair. And without the engraving I requested. I sent it back, asking for the brand-new ring we paid for. They sent it back to me, in the same condition, with the badly done engraving they forgot to put on it before (I have photos proving all of this.) I again sent it back, asking for the ring WE PAID FOR. They sent the same ring back to me, but with a decent repair done to it (it was past the refund window at this point.) I took it to a local jeweler last month to have the engraving redone, and had it soldered to my engagement ring. Also had it appraised for my jewelry insurance at that time. The description on the website states the diamonds are G-H color, with a minimum clarity of SI-1. The diamonds in the ring I received are SI-2 clarity. I contacted James Allen customer service about this, and emailed a photo of the appraisal report to them. I was told once the diamonds are mounted, the clarity can appear to be lower. This is NOT true, confirmed by the two other gemologists I have spoken with about this issue. Customer service wanted me to send the ring back to them, to “check the diamond clarity. Not happening, its soldered to a ring with an untreated, eye clean natural sapphire.
