My experience with Zales has been an absolute nightmare. Not only did they fail to provide accurate information about a snowflake ring I purchased, but their customer service is also a mess. I initially bought the engagement ring, only to have Zales cancel the transaction after a week, blaming my bank. However, my bank confirmed Zales canceled it without explanation.
I attempted another purchase, hoping for better luck, but Zales delayed the process even further. Eventually, I decided to try Kay Jewelers, and on the very same day, Zales shipped the engagement ring portion. Although it looked pretty, it had expected flaws.
To my dismay, the wedding band arrived in terrible condition. Cheaply made with a noticeable “made in China” sticker, it didnt even fit properly with the engagement ring. For nearly $4k, I received a subpar piece that looks like it came from a toy machine. Zales hid my honest review, along with anything below 3 stars. My recommendation? Avoid Zales at all costs.

Despite our efforts to verify the purchase through customer service, Quynh remained skeptical and claimed we were providing false diamond numbers. Even after confirmation from customer service, she persisted in treating us as thieves, displaying a complete lack of professionalism and empathy. We had purchased a warranty for the necklace a year ago, which we proved to her, yet her behavior was disrespectful and accusatory throughout. We were left shocked by her behavior and the lack of an apology or resolution. Such conduct from an employee is entirely unacceptable and tarnishes the reputation of Abe Mor.

While Abe Mor boasted a facade of openness, politeness, and honesty in their communications, the reality was much less appealing.
To provide context, a local jewelry buyer in ABQ showed an insulting offer of 50% of the diamonds value. Worthy.com, an online platform, followed suit with a slightly improved but still disappointing 55% offer, accompanied by the caveat of a lengthy waiting period before any actual transactions could take place. Another online wholesaler tantalized me with a promise of 70% off Abe Mors already lackluster offer.
My interaction with Abe Mor underscored the disappointing trend in the diamond resale market. While they may have managed to be marginally less egregious than some of their counterparts, their offer was far from satisfactory. The diamond resale markets inclination to dramatically devalue precious items, coupled with the stark contrast between initial retail prices and resale values, was a bitter pill to swallow.
In summary, my experience with Abe Mor left much to be desired. Despite their claims of being competitively priced and transparent, the overall experience was characterized by frustration, minimal gains, and a sobering reminder of the harsh realities of the diamond resale industry.

While I appreciate the reviews left by those who went before me, offering a sense of assurance, the outcome didnt entirely align with the praise they received.
In hindsight, while there were certain positive aspects in dealing with Abe Mor, my overall assessment leaves me with a subdued sense of contentment. If theres a “next time,” I would approach the situation with greater caution and perhaps explore alternative avenues more thoroughly.

Very terrible experience. They promised me my shipment on Valentine’s Day. I did not receive it and then I called to see if they could make up for the issue. And the customer service agent was EXTREMELY rude, argumentative, and also continued to interrupt me to the point where I just decided to get off the phone because he would not help and kept speaking over top of me. Worst customer service ever. Do not recommend ordering from this company.

I guess, I was expecting a little better customer service based on the reviews here. My experience was very robotic with like no warmth at all. I submitted my inquiry online with pictures, certificate, etc. Received a message from manager, which I was excited about and he provided me with an estimated offer. I responded back, agreed with the initial offer, I asked for further instructions, and thanked him. The response I received back was like I said very robotic, no greeting, no acknowledgment. So I sent my diamond, and when they received it I got a call from I think another person, our connection was bad. Same vibe, straight to business, got a much lower offer after they reviewed the ring and said IGI graded it too high or something. Ok bummer but all good, I havent gone to anyone else prior to Abe and from what everyone said theyre pretty fair. Sent copy of my ID, and they sent a check.
